Upload Avatar

Most websites have a boring form to upload an avatar. I’ve tried to spruce it up a little with a light, clean design and a mini progress bar.

How it Works
It’s pretty simple. Any free resources are just that — completely free for you to use, incorporate in your designs, and build upon. Go nuts!
Featured commercial resources are available through the Envato marketplaces, which we love. Find out more.

Interesting approach. Good idea, but the implemtation is pretty difficult imho.. :/

Yah, is it even possible to have a live preview of what has been uploaded already? That would be worth implementing… everywhere.

Very great idea! But i think it’s impossible to get a clear image like that of something in upload

I agree with Jens Sage. Maybe its implementation may need a little bit manipulation.

I dont think the second part is possible, Because i think the image file cannot be loaded as a half, it wont come up with the image.
I do like the concept, i do wonder if i could get the second part to work. Time for experimenting!

I agree. In order for the image to display even half it has to have the full thing uploaded.
I could be wrong but pretty sure I am not.
Nice concept though!

it should be possible with the new JS File API, which allows you to access images *before* they have been uploaded: http://www.html5rocks.com/en/tutorials/file/dndfiles/
One could than use a wrapper div with hidden overflow to only show parts of the image :D
